About
PDF Redaction does the honest thing most tools skip: marked pages are rasterized and the zones are painted out BEFORE the output file is written, so the text under a zone does not exist in the file at all. No hidden text layers, no copy-paste surprises. Unmarked pages stay vector-untouched.
The trade-off is honest and documented: a redacted page becomes a bitmap and loses its text layer. Free handles 2 files a day at fixed quality; Pro lifts the limit and lets you pick the rasterization DPI. One key covers up to 3 Windows PCs.

Is the text really gone?
Yes — the page is re-rendered as an image with the zone painted out before saving; the text cannot be extracted afterwards.
What are the trade-offs?
A redacted page becomes a bitmap: it loses its text layer and gains file size. Unmarked pages stay untouched.

Installation & uninstall
Free version
- Download the app with the "Download free" button above and unpack the zip.
- Run pdf-redaction.exe — no installation needed.
- Add a file, press "Convert" — the result appears next to it.
Pro version

- Menu Pro → "Activate…" — paste the key, Pro unlocks on up to 3 PCs.
Uninstall
- Delete the app folder — the system keeps no traces.
Desktop apps leave no traces: delete the folder and it is gone.
